Family Trick-or-Treating Events in Durango

Sunshine Gardens to host trick-or-treating

Sunshine Gardens Senior Community will host Halloween trick-or-treating from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 31 at 25 Sunshine Court, located off 32nd Street; and at Country Home, 2518 Colorado Highway 172.

Both facilities will have safe, indoor trick-or-treating.

Trick or Treat - 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Children under 10, dressed in costume will be treated at downtown Durango stores and restaurants. Durango's new Welcome Center at 8th and Main is open for questions, candy and restrooms.

Fort Lewis Mesa to host Halloween Carnival

Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary School will host its annual Halloween Carnival on Oct. 27.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. There will be a haunted house, carnival games, bingo, a cake walk, a book walk, family pictures and a preschool room for children younger than 6. A costume contest will be held at 5:45 p.m., followed by a carved pumpkin contest at 6:30 p.m., a LEGO creation contest at 6:45 p.m., and the raffle winner will be announced at 7 p.m.

We are a family business.  We have kids and even though running our own business keeps us very busy, we make sure to make time for family.  We are always out and about in the community and surrounding communities so feel free to join us on our adventures or share ones that your family does.   
Our family is always on the search for things to do in the area...a great family activity our boys love is going to a pumpkin patch.  It has been a tradition since our oldest was born! (We had both of that at the patch before they were a month old!)

We all know Durango weather is a bit crazy....well today just proved its point.  Rain, Hail, and yes snow!  Despite the weather, get out and check out our beautiful scenery.  You don't have to go far:  from the trees on 3rd Ave, the ones up Florida Rd, and the quilted mountain sides up the valley it is a beautiful season.

Cleaning for the Cause Campaign

Journey of Hope 5K Run/Walk

Journey of Hope is an annual 5K run/walk fundraiser event that raises funds for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer. Rain, rain, and more rain

Seems like we waited and waited for all this rain.  All of the hay farmers needed it in July....before the cutting! Well I guess we will take it when we can get it, right!?
I am sure everyone has seen all the mud slides and some of you might even be dealing with flooding of your own.  With all of the rain and moisture things don't dry out as quickly as we are all used to around here.    With moisture comes mold, but that can be avoided with a quick dry out. If the job is too big, too much or just a hassle give us a call we are certified in flood restoration.
