Kids, Pets, Stains: Oh my! By: Noah Lopez and ChemDry.com
The snow is melting and here comes the mud!
Spring
cleaning is among us and ChemDry of the Southwest is here to help. Our cleaning
process is safe for children and pets.
Our carbonated cleaning system dries fast and will not leave residue
that will attract dirt.
If you
have kids or pets eventually you are going to need to deal with stains on your
carpet, rugs or furniture. Even if you don’t have children or animals roaming
your home, stains are a part of life. When you come face-to-face with a tough
stain in your carpet or upholstered furniture don’t worry, the pros at ChemDry
of the Southwest have just the solution for eliminating them.
The Stain Removal Experts
We
remove all sorts of stains and odors from carpets, tile, upholstery and area
rugs. These include dirt and grime,
coffee, wine, red stains, soda stains, pet stains, nail polish, paint, ink,
grease, gum, wax, etc.
Preventing Stains Before They Occur with Stain
Protection
Once
your carpets, tile and upholstery are clean we can also apply a protectant to
keep them looking great and to prevent them from getting permanently stained.
Consider ChemDry’s Stain
Protectant Package. This stops
stains before they set into your carpet fibers, upholstery fabric or the grout
of your tile floors and counter tops.
We specialize in
removing Pet Stains from Area Rugs
Pets
don’t like cold floors as much as they like your beautiful area rugs and
upholstery. This means that your rugs and upholstery are going to have pet
stains on them. We are experts and we specialize in removing pet stains and
odors from your rugs and upholstery, without harming the materials they are
made out of.
Not all stains need professional cleaning. Here is something you can try, beforehand:
Don't put any cleaners
or stain removers on it, if they don’t remove the stain they often set the
stain, making it very difficult for even a professional to get the stain out.
First, simply blot the spot and dry it working from the outside in, rinse thoroughly with clean, hot water and then blot again.
Work with hot, hot water. Use as a little as possible and try to extract as much as you can; you want it to dry fast to avoid causing mold to grow! If you need to, use a shop vac to extract. Never scrub the carpet, or you risk ruining the carpet fibers or letting the spill soak through to the carpet pad. If it isn't coming out give us a call! 970-259-9046

A Family Business
ChemDry of the Southwest: A Family Business
ChemDry of the Southwest is at heart a family business. Brothers, Noah and Isais Lopez had worked several summers in Southern California for their uncle at his own ChemDry franchise. They started their own independently owned and operated franchise in 1997.
As graduates of Fort Lewis College, Isais has a BA in environmental biology and Noah has a BA in business management. They also both attended high school at Durango High School. Noah owned a ChemDry in San Diego for 15 years. He returned to Durango to help Isais with ChemDry of the Southwest and to bring his three boys back to the community where he grew up. Noah shared how the inspiration for them to keep the business in the family and work hard comes from their father. “Our dad always inspired us to work hard. He was an entrepreneur himself, always had new ideas and ways to earn extra money. He did many different jobs being a DJ, a teacher, fruit salesman, farmer and restaurant owner. If you can think of it, he probably did it.” Now, Noah and Isais are motivated by their families and the lives that they have in Durango. “We want to be able to provide for them and have the time to enjoy activities together.”
ChemDry provides services that can benefit any home or business. These include carpet, tile, and upholstery cleaning; flood/water damage and restoration; cleaning autos, boats, and RVs; carpet installation, repairs, and stretching; pet stain /odor removal; leather cleaning; mold mitigation; as well as other residential and commercial services.
Their fleet is growing. ChemDry of the Southwest continues to be able to meet the demands of the ever growing population of Durango and surrounding communities. They have recently made it a goal to refresh their image and upgrade their equipment. “We are excited about our new look. We continue to attend trainings and certification classes to be able to provide our customers with the best up-to-date services and products.” As business owners Noah, Isais, and their team of technicians provide
superior customer service. “We strive to be a trustworthy, reputable, personable company with a high service standard that keeps our customers returning and referring us to their friends.” Providing quality customer service has allowed them to both grow the business and treat their customers like family. While working on jobs, they try to keep things lighthearted. Enjoying time at work keeps the team motivated and happy to
come back every day. “We try to keep each other entertained.” Bonding with customers is another highlight to the job for many of their technicians. “Our technicians have many hobbies and they love when they come across a customer that shares the same interests.” This creates a successful business for both the Lopez family and the families that they are happy to call their clients.

Noah enjoys the freedom that owning their own business allows them. Being able to make decisions and structure their own schedules is a huge benefit. They are able to spend time with their families and doing other activities. “We enjoy coaching sports, attending our children’s events or enjoying the outdoors.” Both Noah and Isais are involved in their children’s sports and extracurricular activities.
Isais is a volunteer ski patrol worker at Purgatory and enjoys snowboarding, fishing and watching his daughter play soccer. Noah is also a volunteer at Purgatory, and coaches wrestling and football. He keeps busy with his boys’ sports and enjoys fishing, snowboarding, playing hockey and cheering for the Broncos.
Community involvement is a huge part of owning a business in a small town and the ChemDry team embraces this each and every day. “We make it our goal to give back to the community. We try being present and being an active part of this community. We support many local causes, activities and groups.”
