So.... George of the Jungle is your hero? This is how he keeps his head cool! Decorate your own pith helmet. May be constructed of
any material, but must fit on or near your head. Deliver your creation and register it on Wed., Jan. 29 by 4 PM. Viewing and judging
will take place on Friday. Prizes awarded in each division. Awards ceremony is 4 PM Fri., Jan. 31. Open to all Safari trekkers - no
restrictions! Novice division: up to 12 years old. Junior division: 13-17, senior division 18 and up.

11 AM - SNOWDOWN SCROUNGING SCAVENGER HUNT
Elks Lodge – 901 E. 2nd Ave. (9th St. side entrance)
Teams of 4 shall search the highways, byways and hideaways of Durango for the items on the list. The list has 100 items for you to
find and all the items will fit into one City of Durango blue recycling box. The team who returns to the Elks Lodge at 10 AM on Fri.,
Jan. 31 with the most items from the list wins!

Hunting for Good Fashion in Durango?
Are you adventurously fashionable? A bwana of the beau monde? A haute couture creature? Fashionably adventurous? Wear your
finest SNOWDOWN Safari So Good garb, whether it’s a Do or a Don’t. Gene Pool Gaultier will exhibit his Collection featuring
the highest and lowest fashions you’ve ever seen. Once more again, our crew will prove why Durango was voted “Worst Dressed
Community“ by USA Today! For lunch you will be served the finest(?) fare! The show will begin at 12:01 sharp. Lunch will be tracked
down by noon and served at 12:12, the fashion display begins at 12:29. The show ends at 1:29, so all patrons, porters and people
can return to their dreary jobs. We’ll have prizes for the best of you. Although we have parking for some beasts of burden, please
carpool and remember – it’s ADULT ENTERTAINMENT!! Get your tickets early as this popular event sells out quickly. We will have
luncheon seating at 60 tables and a maximum of 100 standees. All monies go to SNOWDOWN, which IS a non-profit
organization!

the ballroom walls. No seat, no food, no drink (what did you expect for just six bucks?!). Advance tickets on sale at the
SNOWDOWN store, Magpie’s Newsstand, 707 Main, Sat., Jan. 18, NOON. Limit 4 (that’s four) tickets per person!!
Prizes: Best Dressed, Worst Dressed, Funniest costume, Best Theme and Grand Prize.

This game is similar to the TV classic, but with a SNOWDOWN Safari So Good flavor.
Four 4-person teams will compete for the top prize. Must be 21+ to enter.

Safari on down to the Palace in your best SNOWDOWN costume for the first ever SNOWDOWN Judged Costume Contest, a
great place to be after the Fashion Do’s and Don’ts. Enjoy your favorite prey, libations and snacks while strutting your safari stuff for
the judges who will award Best in Jungle 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes at 6 PM.
You must be 21+ to enter.
